FAQs

We get it! Trying something new can feel a little unsettling. We tried to answer some questions you may have below. If we missed anything you’d like to know, we’d be happy to help!

You can give us a call or text at 385-258-3314, or email us at hello@heyneighborhood.com.

  • Our Sunday service starts at 10AM and lasts about 60 minutes.

We begin our services with worship (music), followed by a message from the Bible, a short time for reflection, and end our time with more worship.

  • We meet in a local school - Advantage Arts Academy. (6171 W 11800 S, Herriman UT).

Service starts at 10am! Feel welcome to come a bit early for morning refreshments & stay a bit after to connect with others!

  • Neighborhood Kids is our children’s ministry programming. You can check your kids in at the big confetti filled Neighborhood Kids sign in the lobby!

We want your kids to learn about Jesus in a safe, age appropriate, classroom with volunteers who have a heart for kids & Jesus too!

  • Whatever you’re most comfortable in. Most people wear jeans, shorts, or something similar.

  • Nope, but you’re always invited to bring a friend! We have plenty of seats.

We have coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate, cups, and snacks. Song lyrics and Bible verses will be on the screen.

  • You’re not the only one. The people of Neighborhood Church come from various faith backgrounds, or no faith background at all. This is a place where you can be real and belong no matter what you believe.

  • Our rule of thumb is that everyone should read whichever version of the Bible helps them understand and connect with it. We teach from the New International Version (NIV), which is an easy-to-read translation from the Hebrew Old Testament and Greek New Testament.

  • That’s ok! You can watch past messages on our YouTube channel.

You don’t have to come at the beginning of a message series. Come at any time - the messages will still be relevant.

  • We know it might sound crazy. There aren’t many non-denominational Christian churches in the Salt Lake Valley. We want to be a church where you don’t have to feel the pressure of measuring up to a standard, and where you’re free to explore and ask the hard questions. We’re a part of Converge, a network of non-denominational Christian churches who are passionate about starting churches around the world.

  • It’s like childhood or parenthood - something that’s part of who you are and saturates your daily life. We want to live out our neighbor-hood with the people around us in the place where God has put us. When we use Jesus’ definition of “neighbor,” it’s also the only category that will always put two people together - no matter who they are, where they’re from, what they’ve done, or what they believe.
